Cybergroove first found his love for electronic music back in the break dance days of the 80s at the age of 7. He recalls the movie called Break dance being his first exposure to this kind of music and still remembers it instantly blowing him away. Having very little access to the music at such a young age he would watch that movie over and over purely for the tracks on it. The constant search for the music continued through the days of acid house until finally getting his first introduction to the early hardcore sound. It was a Stu Allen set from New Age that a friend gave him on cassette. And so began his love for hardcore, and eventually jungle & drum & bass. he finally got his first taste of a rave at the age of 15. Pandemonium @ Mr B's in Willenhall. This experience took his love for the music to another level and it wasn't long until he became interested in being on the other side of the decks. After having some sessions round a few friends houses it was time to buy a set of technics and take things more serious. In 1999 he got his first taste of performing live at a night run by himself and two other lads. The night went down well so they decided to make this a regular event and so Terminal Sound was born.
After doing a few Terminal Sound nights the opportunity came along to join up with a crew going by the name Electric Kingdom. Together they hosted parties around the midlands and saw him playing alongside the likes of Ratty, Tango, Fallout, Phantasy, Simon bassline smith, & digital to name a few. Due to the success of these nights he found himself getting more bookings outside of what he was doing with his own parties. This has led him to play all over the UK playing for promotions such as one nation, flashback, euphoria, sidewinder, Raveology, Therapy Sessions, Fantazia. So he is more than comfortable going alongside the biggest names whether it be in front of 200 people or 2000. At present he is part of the Unified Beatz promotions team and payback promotions dj agency.
He also hosts a fortnightly show on www.renegaderadio.co.uk on Friday evenings 10-12 He can cater for old skool, jungle, drum & bass (in most of its sub genres) so whether you looking for a trip down memory lane, some smooth rollers, old/new jungle vibes, or just downright dirty hard drum & bass he has it covered
